Yesterday, a daring robbery took place at the Gorina cold storage, located on 501 street between 6100 and 153 in La Plata. Four men entered a container used as an office where a supervisor was waiting for employees to deliver a cash salary advance. Three of the thieves were captured by the security cameras on site.
The assailants, through intimidation, managed to steal a cardboard box containing the money allocated for salary advances. Fortunately, no one was injured during the incident. The Gorina cold storage has security cameras and private surveillance, which could facilitate the investigation of the case.
The report was filed at Police Station 14 in Melchor Romero, and the Public Prosecutor's Office 9 in La Plata, under the direction of Juan Pablo Iacarino, is in charge of the investigation. The Tactical Operational Cabinet of police precinct 14 is also involved in the case. It is worth mentioning that this is not the first security incident affecting the Gorina cold storage, as there have been previous cases of robbery and violence in the area.
